| Update: Minimalist Wardrobe | 08/08/17 |

Good Morning all. How are we? Enjoying the summer holidays?
At last, I have an update for you on how I've been getting on with minimalism and cutting down my wardrobe to a more manageable amount, it wasn't easy and I think I am going to have to do this in stages. Hopefully you'll like this post, do let me know what you think and if you have any tips for de-cluttering I'd love to hear them.

It's a Saturday, a glorious weekend of exciting activities, coffee to takeaway, cinema dates, walks in the park...Not today. Today I decided to begin to de-clutter my wardrobe, and what a task it was. I didn't quite realise how many items of clothing I had, and more to the point, clothes that I literally NEVER wear have been sandwiched between wardrobe essentials in the hope of being picked - poor little fellas. At first thought, I imagined it to be quite fun looking through clothes and neatly organising piles of 'keep, sell and charity', but in reality a fabric explosion had hit my room at 100mph with the abundance of 'maybe' piles swallowing me up.

I have a few under-bed storage boxes, a chest of drawers and a fully-loaded rail of clothes, so I mostly focused on the rail at first - although I did have a little sort through some of my jeans.

The phrase 'it gets better before it gets worse' was exceptionally accurate for this task, as I ended up piling all of my clothes on my bed and sifting through them, creating infinite 'maybe' piles and vibes of tension and frustration were consuming the room - I think George will very much agree, the absence of a happy gal was very much apparent. I honestly found it so difficult to part with anything, which was definitely to my surprise. Next time I think I will be much more prepared, so I am glad I stuck to sorting through my rail only, or all hell would've been let loose.

Despite the fact I am particularly organised and hate clutter, I found it incredibly challenging to get rid of items from my wardrobe. The thought of 'I may wear this one day' and 'this would look great with some dungarees'...I do not even own dungarees lol. Any excuse to keep a garment, I had persuaded myself was true. I did manage to eventually gather two large bags of clothing to be sold/given away so the wardrobe cleanse was marginally successful. However, I feel as though these clear outs need to be little and regular, so that I can produce a capsule style wardrobe at my own pace, an extremely gradual rate, to prevent a complete teenage meltdown.

This task was 100X more difficult than I anticipated, so as far as an update goes, its very short: I CANT GET RID OF CLOTHES. A diseased woman I deem the appropriate label for this mess of an update. Better luck next time?

Thanks so much for tuning in, see you next time. Peace out x

| Going Back To Basics | 10/10/17 |

Gooood morning, and welcome back to the blog. Today, I wanted to share with you another post from my first fashion photo shoot. This outfit, I feel, is perfect for this transitional period, and is also verging on the smart side of fashion (for me anyway, lol). I really enjoyed piecing together this outfit, and trying to experiment with my personal style. As you all undoubtedly know, I often opt for the comfier garments and that aspect of my style definitely is portrayed through most of my blog posts. But equally, trying something new is exhilarating, particularly with Autumn homing into view so I want to diversify my wardrobe. I am loving the tailored look, and am growing fonder of fitted tops that enhance my body a lot more than a baggy tshirt or oversized jacket would.

SUP GUYS! How are we all doing this morning?
I am currently sat on my bed in the late afternoon, with a hot cup of tea to hand (hopefully I won't forget about it), and I am really digging deep in my thoughts in terms of what I want to talk about today. A stressed student, on the cusp of several deadlines and all I can think about is this blog post. Blogging is a funny thing, sometimes it is my ultimate escape where I can just unwind and spill out onto the page whatever springs to mind. But sometimes, blogging can feel overwhelming, like I am being forced to think about my reality in its most raw state, and sometimes life is not all fun and games, and I just don't really want to come to terms with my busy mind.
Before I babble on about life and bore you all, lets jump straight in to the outfit I have styled for you t…

Morning everyone, and welcome back to the blog. Today I wanted to share with you a very autumnal outfit, that I am dearly in love with. When it comes to planning outfits to shoot, it can honestly take me hours to complete a single look, but this outfit was a rarity in the sense I rustled it up in about twenty minutes, so I am thrilled with the outcome. As I mentioned in my last post, outfit planning and styling is definitely a love/hate situation for me, so finding an outfit that is fleeky with ease is a wonderful feeling.

So, lets begin with the coat. I am a huge lover of coats, and I am admittedly beginning to accumulate quite the collection of jackets and winter coats, however this is my newest addition to my wardrobe coat-wise, and I picked this up on the Asos website. This pea/military style coat is by New Look and was an incredible price of ab…
